Is there a way to flush events from a specific MP without changing grooming settings?

In my development environment I often need to override rules that create events. To see if my overrides are working, I would like to flush out all events from the OpsMgr console for a specific management pack to get a "clean slate". Is there a way to do this besides changing database grooming settings? Like maybe a powershell command?

I don't know if notifications go out for this. I do think I know how to do this from the Command Shell. I only have access to OpsMgr RTM right now, and think there's something in SP1 that will fix an error I'm getting.

Let me know if you still need this…
