Issue with Exchange 2007 MP and FBA logon

Hello,
I have 2 customers who have OWA with FBA ocnfigured to use a pre-defined name, the uses logon using the user account not the domain\user account.
thus the OWA monitoring rule is giving me error "Access is denied" have been searching around with no clues but there is must be a solution, who to resolve that part?
