Hi,

I am newbie with SCOM. For our project we are using a WMI provider creation. Which will be used by SCOM to collect events and display in the views. Being new to SCOM I am not getting any idea how to proceed. For starters, If any one can provide some inputs or some documents especially on SCOM with WMI provider will be of great help.

I am having a basic question..

1.When we are creating monitors regardless what monitor type I observed that it should fall any one category of Configuration, Availabilty,Security or Performance state. On what criteria are we going to set this monitors into which state. I m not able to make my WMI provider have a monitor.

Forum category: Operations Manager 2007 / General
Forum thread: Help with SCOM authoring using WMI providers

Anyway, it is for sure a modern, romantic trend, the bag is in keeping with Prada’s silk-printed shirts and matching cropped paints, with their nymph and fairy prints. It seems that Miuccia Prada’s focusing on creativity, the Fairy Bag can be created. She has certainly succeeded, with her Fairy Bag and romantic prints, creating new fans of the brand. prada wallet women Designer accessories like shoes and handbags are a must in the fashion world. But getting your hands on an authentic Prada handbag will cost you. Well known designer brands like Prada are not only known for their craftsmanship and style, but also for their ridiculously high prices. However, no matter what the price, some people will still spend their savings just to get them. Buying designer branded items, like clothes and bags, is the objective for fashionable women and also some men. This would be okay if you were financially well-off. This is where designer knock-offs come in.

One name that brings to mind glamour and the absolute best in design is Prada. Many women find that they are almost purring the name whenever they say it. Unfortunately Prada is also extremely expensive, and most women believe that only the filthy rich can afford it. If you’d like to have a Prada handbag, it is absolutely possible. Exact replica designer handbags can be found for Prada handbags and are extremely affordable, giving you the opportunity to feel rich and fabulous yourself, without breaking your bank! prada sunglasses men You can personalize the design of your authentic Prada handbag.
How often have you looked at something and thought, “I really wish I could afford that.” It happens to all of us, more frequently than we wish it would. Most of us find that we lust after those beautiful handbags that we see the celebrities toting around, but we believe that it is not possible to afford such beautiful bags without robbing a bank. If you choose exact replica designer handbags, it is absolutely possible to be able to afford those bags without much difficulty at all! Exact replica designer handbags are made out of the finest materials and are made exactly the same way that the pricy bags are made, only they come at a much lower price tag. There are a number of exact replica designer handbags that are ideal for people who are looking to own a designer handbag but who do not want to pay the ridiculously high price tag that comes along with a designer handbag. The Slouchy Tribal Bag in black is a great bag that has caught a lot of attention lately. This Louis Vuitton handbag features a unique and trendy design, with an easily affordable price tag. prada womens wallet Buckskin. This type of leather is also called brain-tanned leather precisely because animal brains or other emulsified oils are used to tan leather from deer, moose or elk. Buckskin leather is the softest and most pliable type of leather and is used in many designer handbags. The oils used in tanning the leather creates a soft sheen to the leather, making it appear glossy and smooth.

The new collection has all bags covered in plastic jewels, from cluthes to totes, from shoulder bags to vanity bags. They are made of top quality fabric materials. If you need something to glam up your end-of-year parties, you can select from the collection. Especially the fabric clutch, it is obsolutely your first choice to go out for Christmas and New Year parties. As you know, handbags with jewels detail can make gorgeous dazzling show. As for me, I love the clutch and the vanity bag. So girly! prada handbag knockoffs And as an artistic work, it’s worthy to note that this Prada bag is so delicate and should not touch water. You’d better take special care of it. With fragile designs such as these, color bleeding problems are by no means exclusive to Prada, and the sensible thing to do would be to cover delicate bags of this nature in a plastic bag when it’s raining or in danger of getting wet. Above all, store this bag carefully in its felt-cover pouch, when not in use, to protect its soft leather and dreamy illustrations from the elements. Do not feel troublesome, you can’t image how many people admire at your masterpiece bag.
Hi,
We are having a SCOM R2 environment.
We put our servers in the maintenance mode every month during the patching window which has a time frame of 6 hours. As soon as the servers are out of the maintenance mode, there is a horde of alerts that is generated (around 500 alerts at once). These alerts correspond to the events that occured during the maintenance mode window, and should not be generated. Could you help me with this issue? We are facing this from the past 3 months. This never happend before. We are running R2 since July last year.
Any help in this regard would be welcome.
Thanks !

SH

Forum category: Operations Manager 2007 / General
Forum thread: Maintenance Mode issues

I have installed SCOM 2007 R2 on a win2k8 R2 server and I am having difficulty getting some of the monitors to work properly.

If I open up the health explorer on the win2k8 server it has a lot of monitors that are not working (i.e. no green check box signifying the entity is healthy but also no red x stating there is a problem either). I have gone in to the "Monitors" section under the "Authoring" tab and have looked to make sure that everything for the win2k8 and win2k3 servers are enabled by default. I have also checked the management packs and it appears that all of the proper win2k3 and win2k8 packs are installed. Any other ideas of why this happens?

Forum category: Operations Manager 2007 / General
Forum thread: 2k8 server management packs not working

I have tried to install the agent manually on win7 and sql01. When I run the discovery wizard, it stopped on the discovery progress page showing that computer discovery requires SQL server broker service. I have enabled the broker service on sql01 but still cannot go through the discovery progress page. What is the problem here?
Is there anything missing for running the discovery wizard in the virtual network of hyper-v?

Forum category: Operations Manager 2007 / General
Forum thread: Discovery wizard problem

Now off-late when I select the report mailbox availability report one two of the 4 servers show. On seeing this I uninstalled the agent on both the problematic servers and repushed agent. On this one of the servers came up in the report, but the other server still having issues getting the reports. Quick look on the computer state states critical on AGENT for this server and this is the same for other server as well which I am getting the reports.
We are in our research and planning stage of implementing SCOM and SCCM in our environment. The project is rather intricate and distributed. In order to try and make it less complex and distributed; we would like to figure out if we can use the same SRS instance on a dedicated box for both SCOM and SCCM. We do know that SCOM changes the SRS instance for its own use and is not recommended for use with other reporting needs but since SCCM is a part of the System Center family, we thought maybe it is possible to converge the two onto one box.

Does anyone have experience in this type of scenario? If it is possible is it straight forward or a complex set of steps to setup and maintain?

Thank you in advance for your replies,

Steve

Forum category: Operations Manager 2007 / General
Forum thread: SCOM/SCCM Reporting Services Interoperability

Hello everybody!

Im just starting with SCOM 2007, and I'm experimenting some very weird issues, with a logical disk free space monitor. The issue is that Im configuring a unit monitor for these counter in the next way:

Monitor Type: Windows Performance Counter > Static Threshold > Single Threshold > Simple Threshold

Performance Counter:
Object: Logical Disk
Counter: % Free Space
(I check the all instances option)

Threshold Value: 20.00 (Im trying to configure a threshold of 20 % of free space)

Configure Threshold:
Under Threshold = Healthy
Over Threshold = Critical (I mean that if the % free space is below of 20% it's a critical warning)

So thats the way Im creating the monitor. When the monitor is enabled it send some real alerts of logical disk with a % free space under 20, but it sends me alerts of logical disks with a 93% of free space, the most of the alerts are in this way, over the 20% free space threshold. I'have been trying anything and Im wondering that this error must be by a really stupid reason, but i dont find anything more to try :S Really appreciate your help, thanks in advance.

trentmx

Forum category: Operations Manager 2007 / General
Forum thread: SCOM 2007 logical disk free space monitor

I am new to Operations Manager 2007. I have a requirement where i have to create a grouping of servers based on a registry key value. The servers to be targeted have reqestry key

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\world\Data

This key contains a value dDataServer of type dword. If its the value is 0000001 then the server should be added to the group. I created a attribute in Opr Manager 2007 which probes the registry for the value HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\world\Data\dDataserver. I chose the Attribute type to be int.

I then created a group which uses the custom attribute. However when i view the devices in this group i dont see any computer. Can any one help me with this?

Forum category: Operations Manager 2007 / General
Forum thread: grouping severs based on registry value

Especially if you are monitoring something that is on almost every server and workstation like the SMS client, (SCCM).
I would like everything you see in the >Alerts under the >“Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager 2007” management pack to be sent to a SCCM manager.
Currently if I select all computers under Groups, and only “ConfigMgr” under classes, you get SOME of the alerts. Only the ones that the “Class” is something under ConfigMgr”.
The problem is most of the SCCM alerts, like ConfigMgr 2007 Component Health” are in the “Windows Computer” class. If you change your subscription to include only computers in the SCCM management pack (the same thing as ALL computers) and your class to “Windows Computer” you get EVERY alert there is.
The SCCM Alerts properties runs this statement that I would like to use in supscriptions or groups some how:
Criteria:
View all alerts
with Not Equals 255 resolution state
and with a %ConfigMgr 2007% name

Any ideas???

Forum category: Operations Manager 2007 / General
Forum thread: Subscriptions

In my development environment I often need to override rules that create events. To see if my overrides are working, I would like to flush out all events from the OpsMgr console for a specific management pack to get a "clean slate". Is there a way to do this besides changing database grooming settings? Like maybe a powershell command?

Forum category: Operations Manager 2007 / General
Forum thread: Flushing Events from the OpsMgr Console

I used to be an HP OpenView guy until the decision was made to go to MOM 2005. I am now upgrading
to Ops Mgr 2007. One of the things that I want it do is to highlight the alerts in the console with
differentt colors. So if there is an critical I would want that alert to be all red. If there is a warning, I
would want that to be yellow. Is there a way do this thru an xml editing or something. Any help is appreciatedd

Forum category: Operations Manager 2007 / General
Forum thread: Customizing Ops Mgr 2007 Console

My environment is set up in such a way that multiple users will need access to a single server, but only certain aspects of it. Example — if I scope a user to SMS servers then they have full rights on any severs with SMS — not just the SMS component. Anyone have an idea on how I can get around this?

Forum category: Operations Manager 2007 / General
Forum thread: Scoping User Roles

I created my own rule with a threshold alert of 10% or less disk space. Ops mgr is picking the right server but alerting on the wrong drives! Is this a bug? It is ALERTING me that c: drive has < 10% disk space when it has 50% free! Also, why is it constantly close the alert and then opening others and closing again? I dont understand this behavior. Thanks.

Forum category: Operations Manager 2007 / General
Forum thread: Does anyone know why I might be getting FALSE disk <10% alerts?
